Classes and Events
We host a range of classes and events to pique the interest of any cheese lover. From cheeseboard workshops to cheese and wine classes, to scraping cheese on Raclette Sundays or melting cheese for our cozy Fondue Nights, we love serving Richmond the best cheese! Our communal guided tasting includes 5 cheeses and a wine (or beer) pairing for each. Your cheesemonger will talk about each cheese, the paired wine or beer, and basic pairing principles. Grab a spot at one of our six person communal table tastings, eat some cheese, and maybe make a friend or two.
"Saints: Cheese, Wine, and Divine(ish) Endeavors" will explore the role of cheese and wine as divinely-inspired nourishment as well as its role in the church historically. Taste five cheese and wine pairings, learn some history, and rub elbows with other cheese saints! We'll chat cheese and our friends at Potomac Selections will talk wine. Grab a spot!
"Sinners: Cheese, Wine, and the Sumptuously Sordid" Join us for five cheese and wine pairings that explore the more hedonistic side of cheese and wine history. We'll celebrate all the sexy, witchy, and pleasurable parts of cheese and wine. We'll talk cheese and our friends at Native Selections will talk wine. Join us!
Join us for an evening of Swiss Fondue with our great friend Anna Juhl from Cheese Journeys. Eat traditional Swiss fondue and hear all about the upcoming trip “Switzerland: The Ultimate Cheese Journey with Gourmino Cheese” (Aug 29th-Sept 5th). We'll serve up the fondue while Anna expounds upon the tour of world-class cheesemakers, picturesque creameries, cheese caves, wine and cheese tastings, and the best-of-the-best from Switzerland – including chocolate, rare wines, hiking, and schnaps! Ticket includes fondue and a glass of well paired Alpine wine! Join us!
Fondue Friday!!!
We’re excited to offer Fondue every Friday starting the first (cooler) Friday in September. Come enjoy our favorite bread, fruit, and veggies dipped in hot, stretchy, melty Alpine cheese!
Raclette Sunday
Returning this October…. Raclette Sundays! We’ll melt wheels of Swiss raclette over bread, pickled veggies, and charcuterie each Sunday from 12:00-5:00! Relaxed and fun and open to all!
